Ryan ruled out, Chapman to see specialist, Boak cleared, Waterman ankle issue

There was some bad injury news for Fremantle pair Luke Ryan and Heath Chapman, while Port Adelaide cleared a few for Saturday’s Showdown and the GWS Giants injury list continued to grow.

Fremantle have been dealt a handful of injury blows led by news around Luke Ryan (AF $623k SC $540k DEF) who the club said: “Will miss at least one more game of AFL due to a calf injury.”

The outlook looks worrying for Heath Chapman (AF $369k SC $250k DEF) too. Freo High Performance manager Phil Merriman said: “Ethan (Hughes) sustained a knock to his shoulder and he’ll be seeing a specialist in the coming days. Likewise with Heath Chapman.”
