West Coast recruit Deven Robertson could be facing a stint on the sidelines following a dangerous tackle on Port’s Zak Butters which will attract MRO scrutiny.
Robertson slung Butters to the ground in the third quarter of the Eagles’ two-point win over the Power.
Butters was unable to brace in the tackle, which was paid as a free-kick to him, as he landed head first on the turf.
The Port midfielder left the field shortly after, for what appears a normal rotation. He didn’t undergo treatment and returned to play out the game.
Robertson’s tackle, given it saw Butters’ head hit the ground, will likely attract MRO attention with the findings to be handed down on Monday.
