Jordan Dawson looks set to be available for Adelaide’s Friday night Round 4 clash with Fremantle, with coach Matthew Nicks bullish on his return.
Dawson missed the Crows’ narrow loss to Geelong on Thursday due to calf tightness, while Rory Laird (calf), Taylor Walker (managed) and Callum Ah Chee (hamstring) also were outs.
Nicks said post-game: “Without getting too far ahead of it, there were a few that were really close to this week. Daws was super close.
“It was a captain’s run decision. Laird’s similar. Tex should be right to go. His was more a management decision.
“I think we’ll be looking at at least 3 of the 4 (to return). Cal is going to be out for an extended period.”
Defender Josh Worrell spent some time off the ground with a calf concern.
Nicks said: “He had a bit of soreness coming through. In the end, we probably thought and hoped he’d get through the game. Hopefully he pulls up well.”
