There were injury updates on Port Adelaide’s Todd Marshall and St Kilda’s Mattaes Phillipou who both exited their games on Sunday with injuries.
Marshall was escorted out of Port’s loss to North Melbourne by medical staff, struggling after having his ankle trapped under a teammate in the final quarter.
Port coach Josh Carr said: “He tweaked his ankle. We’re not sure what it is yet. We’ll just have to get some scans later.”
Marshall has an injury history, but Carr added: “It’s not a previous injury. It’s a new one.
“He had some moments through the game where I thought he was pretty solid. He’s still learning a new craft. he had a bit of an ankle, hopefully it’s OK.”
Meanwhile, Phillipou limped off in the second term of St Kilda’s loss to Melbourne and didn’t return, despite spending time on the stationary bike.
Saints coach Ross Lyon confirmed he’d suffered a corked thigh but didn’t elaborate more.
