The KFC BBL|15 season, which has experienced substantial attendance and audience growth through the first 27 games, will be bolstered by the inclusion of Australian Test squad members from tomorrow.
Alex Carey (Adelaide Strikers), Brendan Doggett (Melbourne Renegades), Josh Inglis (Perth Scorchers), Usman Khawaja (Brisbane Heat), Marnus Labuschagne (Brisbane Heat), Todd Murphy (Sydney Sixers), Steve Smith (Sydney Sixers), Jake Weatherald (Hobart Hurricanes) and Beau Webster (Hobart Hurricanes) are available for selection from tomorrow.
Michael Neser (Brisbane Heat) and Mitch Starc (Sydney Sixers) are expected to be available from January 14 and 16 respectively.
Scott Boland (Melbourne Stars), Travis Head (Adelaide Strikers) and Cameron Green (uncontracted) will begin a short period of recovery after playing all five NRMA Insurance Ashes Tests and will not take part in BBL|15.
Boland delivered the most overs of any bowler throughout the Ashes Series (159.5), while leading run scorer Head will commence a short recovery and preparation block ahead of the T20 World Cup. Cameron Green is uncontracted for BBL|15 as he continues to manage his full return from major back surgery.
All Test squad members will follow individual management plans over the coming weeks, which have been jointly formed with players and Cricket Australia to best prepare them for upcoming national team commitments and enable KFC BBL|15 involvement where possible.
