The Melbourne Stars named an unchanged 14-player squad for Thursday’s game against the Sydney Sixers at the MCG. Joe Clarke remains out with a hip injury.

The Sixers selected a 14-player squad, with English all-rounder Sam Curran coming into the group after being Player of the Final in the ILT20 decider on Sunday, helping Desert Vipers lift the trophy.
Curran had an excellent ILT20 campaign, batting at 4 generally and leading the scorers’ list with 397 runs from 12 innings with an average of 49.62 and strike rate of 135.49. He also took 7 wickets with an economy rate of 8.51.

The Scorchers lost Joel Paris to a groin strain after his 2nd over in Wednesday’s loss to the Melbourne Renegades. He didn’t return.
Scorchers big-hitter Mitch Marsh also spent plenty of time off the field during the bowling innings, after an awkward twist when taking a catch in the same ball Paris departed.
