UPDATES
The Thunder announced some squad updates, confirming Topley’s BBL|15 stint is over and that, as Honeyball reported last month, New Zealand quick Lockie Ferguson won’t play this season due to a calf injury sustained in the ILT20.
They have signed an overseas replacement player in English all-rounder David Willey who’ll join the squad in Adelaide next week ahead of their clash with the Strikers on Tuesday 6 January. He’ll also be available for the games against the Heat (Jan 10) and the Renegades (Jan 12).
Willey has been playing in the ILT20 with Dubai Capitals, who lost the Eliminator on New Year’s Day. He’s not had the best tournament, taking 6 wickets in 11 games and managed only 55 runs from 6 knocks.
