The Pakistan Cricket Board have announced a three-game T20I series against Sri Lanka in the middle of BBL|15 which will impact the availability of several key players.
Current Pakistan T20I internationals Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf are all in contention to be selected for the series which will be critical preparation for February’s T20 World Cup in February.
The three-game series in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, will include games on January 7, January 9 and January 11.
That coincides with the BBL|15 season which runs from December 14 to January 18, with finals up until January 25.
As a result, the selected Pakistani contingent will likely exit BBL from around Rounds 4 or 5, potentially returning for a late round and finals.
Babar and Shaheen both played key roles for Pakistan in their recent T20I Tri-Nation Series which they won. Shadab is on the comeback from a shoulder injury but expected to return to action soon.
