Josh Philippe has showcased his big-hitting capability ahead of BBL|15 with an incredible score of 197 for Western Suburbs in a 50-over NSW Premier Cricket game on Saturday.
The Sydney Sixers opening batsman smashed 197 from 115 deliveries for Western Suburbs in a high-scoring contest against Randwick-Petersham at Coogee Oval, where both sides scored 400 runs.
Philippe’s knock included 23 fours and 11 sixes, helping him find form ahead of BBL|15 where the Sixers play the opening game against the Perth Scorchers on Sunday 14 December. Philippe’s Sixers have a Round 1 double, making him very relevant and popular.

Elsewhere in NSW Premier Cricket on Saturday, Thunder batsman Ollie Davies reminded everyone of his power, making 120* from 66 balls for Manly Warringah against Sutherland.
Brother Joel Davies, who plays for the Sixers, took 3-40 from 8.3 overs and made 27* from 52 balls.
Thunder gloveman Matthew Gilkes was also in the runs, scoring 121 from 106 balls for UNSW as an opening batsman.
Lachlan Shaw made 33 from 32 for Northern District, while Daniel Hughes managed 53 from 55 for Eastern Suburbs.

On the other side of the country in WA Premier Cricket, Josh Inglis turned out for Joondalup after watching on during the first Ashes Test. Inglis took 2 catches with the gloves, before scoring 24 from 12 balls opening the batting.
Scorchers skipper Ashton Turner returned a five-ball duck for Fremantle in his second game back from injury, while Sam Fanning made 28 from 47 for Perth.
In SA Premier Cricket, Thunder fast bowler Wes Agar impressed with 4-55 from 10 overs in Kensington’s 50-over game.
In Tasmania, Hurricanes batsman Mac Wright made 101* from 146 balls for Clarence, while in Queensland, Strikers spinner Cam Boyce took 5-140 from 35 overs for Valley and in Victoria, Sixers back-up quick Mitch Perry took 3-29 for Richmond.
