Perth Scorchers opening batsman Finn Allen will this week return after four months out with injury, just in time with less than 3 weeks until the BBL|15 opener.
Allen hasn’t played since suffering an injury to his right foot playing in USA’s Major League Cricket in early July.
The Kiwi blaster subsequently underwent surgery on the stress fracture, with three months estimated for the recovery.
Allen will make his return for Auckland A on Thursday in a one-off T20 match against Otago A at Keith Hay Park in Auckland.
He’s been named to take the gloves for Auckland A, which is relevant with the Scorchers potentially needing him to keep if Josh Inglis is away with the Test squad during the BBL.
The Scorchers play the BBL|15 season opener in just over a fortnight’s time, hosting the Sydney Sixers on Sunday 14 December.
