Perth Scorchers captain Ashton Turner returned to action in WA Premier Cricket on Saturday following a calf injury.
Turner hadn’t played since September due to the calf injury but had previously indicated he was targeting a return in time to play the entire BBL|15 campaign.
The Scorchers middle-order gun came in at 4 for Fremantle in Saturday’s clash with Gosnells, but only managed 6 from 9 balls.
Turner’s state side WA are currently playing South Australia in the Sheffield Shield in Adelaide.
But after that he’s a chance to play in their One-Day Cup clash with Victoria on Tuesday 2 December in Melbourne as part of his recovery.
The Scorchers play the opening game of the season on Sunday 14 December against the Sydney Sixers.
