Melbourne Renegades all-rounder Will Salzmann looms as the loophole option for the upcoming BBL campaign after being ruled for the whole season with injury.
Salzmann was substituted out of NSW’s Sheffield Shield clash with Victoria last week due to the first day injury.
That came only a few weeks after the Renegades announced they’d signed the former Australia U20 prospect for BBL|15, shifting down from the Sydney Thunder.
But the $39k BAT/BWL won’t play again, with Code Sports’ Daniel Cherny revealing the news.
Cherny tweeted: “Will Salzmann will miss the whole BBL after tearing his hamstring off the bone in the Sheffield Shield this week.”
