Perth Scorchers have rounded out their 18-player squad by adding exciting quick Brody Couch for the upcoming KFC BBL|15 season.
Having played 18 games for Melbourne Stars across three seasons, Couch adds further firepower to a potent Scorchers pace bowling unit.
The 25-year-old took 19 wickets in 18 appearances for the Stars, including a three-wicket haul against Hobart in BBL|11.
Couch joined the WA men’s team at the start of season 2024-25 and became a key part of the side’s Sheffield Shield bowling attack, taking 23 wickets in seven matches at 25.65.
Scorchers General Manager – High Performance, Kade Harvey: “Brody has been a tremendous addition to our men’s program since he moved to WA, both as a player and teammate, and we are delighted to be able to sign him for what is set to be an exciting campaign.
“With the injury to Lance Morris, we felt it was important to bolster our fast-bowling stocks and we are confident Brody can play a key role through the tournament.
“We feel Brody’s skillset will be well suited to the conditions at Optus Stadium, and we’re confident we’ll see his talents on display.”
