Perth Scorchers captain Ashton Turner says he’s on track to be fully available for BBL|15 despite being sidelined with a calf injury.
The middle-order batsman hasn’t played since September 24 due to a calf injury.
With under two months until BBL|15 commences, Turner told reporters he was confident he’d be fine to play a full campaign for the team in orange.
“For me, the Big Bash is probably top of my priorities,” he said. “I’m a couple of weeks away from returning to play.
“I’ll be available for Western Australia for a couple of games before the Big Bash.
“It’s feeling good. I know I’ve got a little bit of time up my sleeve.”
The Scorchers play the opening game of the season on Sunday 14 December against the Sydney Sixers.
Turner will be a key part of the Scorchers middle-order batting line-up bolstered by the return of Englishman Laurie Evans.
