Melbourne Stars gun all-rounder Glenn Maxwell doesn’t appear to be in any doubt for the 2025-26 Big Bash League season despite a broken arm.
Maxwell was ruled out of Australia’s T20 Series against New Zealand following a training mishap in the nets earlier this week.
There were reports that Maxwell could be sidelined for an extended period, but he underwent surgery on Thursday which went well.

The surgery is expected to avoid any healing complications and shorten the timeline of his return.
Maxwell is a chance to be available for Australia’s white ball series against India runs from October 19 to November 8.
BBL|15 starts on December 15, affording Maxwell plenty of time to recover and be available for the Stars.
