On Levi Ashcroft playing Opening Round:
“He’s impressive isn’t he? A bit of water to go under the bridge there (selection), but these last two weeks … Levi has done all he can. He shows a pretty cool head under pressure.”
Adelaide assistant coach Murray Davis
On recruits James Peatling, Isaac Cumming and Alex Neal-Bullen:
“These pre-season games are about connection and spending time together. It was pleasing to see the lads show a lot of fight and those guys have a really good game. Young Sid draper came at the end and was pretty important getting the ball going our way form centre bounce.”
On Sid Draper:
“We’ve been really happy with how he’s progressing, but he should be really pleased with the way he went, I know our midfield coach was. He just gives us a bit of a different dynamic in there … his speed and agility and he’s just a difficult match-up.”
On Dan Curtin playing up forward:
“He’s had a really good pre-season. Dan is playing a bit of a new position, but he moves pretty well for a big fella. He’s only the second year into his career and he’s learning to play his role. he got some good looks tonight, so we’re happy with his output.”
