Tom Curran could return for the Melbourne Stars in their final round game against the Hobart Hurricanes after being named in the 14-man squad, while Chris Jordan and Ben McDermott have been named.

Stars captain Marcus Stoinis declared Curran would return, while the Stars update said: “Tom Curran has overcome a calf injury and is in line to make his return, after last playing on Boxing Day against the Sydney Sixers.”
Curran is added along with top-order batsman Blake Macdonald who might be considered to replace Ben Duckett at the top of the order, rather than using out-of-form Tom Rogers.
Duckett is unavailable on England duty, so he drops out along with Brody Couch.

The Hurricanes named their 14-player squad with Ben McDermott returning following a hamstring injury that kept him out of their past 2 games.
On his injury status, McDermott said: “It was tendinopathy. It was more precautionary. It was quite sore. It’s settled down now. I’ve got a couple of tests to get through today. Fingers crossed that all goes well. If it does, then I’ll be available for tomorrow night.”
Chris Jordan is also named, while Jake Doran drops out. Local replacement Cameron Gannon also comes in, with the threat of potential rotation still lingering.
