Sam Konstas has been named to return for the Sydney Thunder in the second game of their double, while Cricket Australia confirmed the availability of a raft of BBL-contracted players.

Sam Konstas is available to return for the Sydney Thunder having been named in their 14-player squad for Wednesday’s clash with the Hobart Hurricanes.
Nathan McAndrew is also fit again after a shoulder injury which could put Wes Agar at risk of being omitted.

Cricket Australia put out a statement on Tuesday confirming the availability of the BBL-contracted players across the league for the remainder of the home-and-away season prior to the Dubai camp prior to the Sri Lanka Test series.
The release stated: “Sean Abbott (Sydney Sixers), Alex Carey (Adelaide Strikers), Sam Konstas (Sydney Thunder), Mitchell Marsh (Perth Scorchers), Jhye Richardson (Perth Scorchers) and Beau Webster (Melbourne Stars) are available for the remainder of the BBL’s home and away season.
“Steve Smith (Sydney Sixers) will be available for three matches from January 11. Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne (Brisbane Heat) will be available for their side’s final home game on January 16 at the Gabba only.
Scott Boland (Melbourne Stars), Travis Head (Adelaide Strikers) and Nathan Lyon (Melbourne Renegades) will not take part in BBL|14.
