If you are here reading this then no doubt you are still alive in some capacity, looking to finish off the year with a bang. Whether you are after a unique option in your match up, or just a left field recommendation that might hit a ceiling score we are all about chasing the points this week. Lets have a look shall we!
Time to shine
We all know that the big boys in the ruck are getting it done at the moment but who saw a 171 from Brent Daniels ($817k, Fwd) coming on the weekend! Let’s see if we can find you one more hit this year.
Noah Anderson ($844k, Mid)
Anderson was on the shopping list last week and certainly did his job with a nice 118. Not quite the huge ceiling game, but the Tigers have little and less to play for this week and Anderson should fill his boots. (PS averages 119 against the Tigers, career!)
Lachie Neale ($886k, Mid)
Neale is coming up against the Dons who are just about out of fight. He can sniff a third Brownlow this year and 3 votes to finish off the season would be just like him wouldn’t it…
Nick Newman ($927k, Def)
Newman was another big target last week who did not disappoint. The Saints are much improved and should send more ball forward than the woeful Eagles did on the weekend. They have given up plenty of points down back this year and Newman should be the main beneficiary here.
Errol Gulden ($921k, Mid)
I really like Errol this week with the Crows match up. The Power were able to get plenty of points in the midfield and in particular, Jase Burgoyne ($717k, Def/Mid) had a well above average game out on the wing. Last time Errol had back to back sub 100 games… 151…
Dylan Moore ($885k, Fwd)
This is a bit more of an obvious one with Moore being the form forward in the competition (well with Daniels). Gets the North match-up this week and with the Hawks flying and vying for the top 8, Moore should be great again.
George Hewett ($711k, Mid)
Back to left field here, Super Huey looked awesome on the weekend. In a depleted Blues side he seemed to thrive on the challenge and was back to being a tackling beast. Should have plenty of opportunity to get his hands dirty again this week.
Elliot Yeo ($811k, Def)
Another left field value option, Yeo looked great in a struggling team on the weekend. He has the juicy Cats match-up where Jack Steele ($953k, Mid) (another inside mid) just had a whopping 148!
If you are finding you are strapped for cash and need to be a little clever with your trades, have a look at these guys as potential downgrade options to help you boost your second trade elsewhere.
- Jason Horne-Francis ($798k, Mid)
- Matthew Kennedy ($702k, Mid/Fwd)
- Colby McKercher ($784k, Def/Mid)
- Jeremy Cameron ($711k, Fwd)
- Liam Duggan ($716k, Def)
- Matthew Roberts ($733k, Def/Mid)
- Mattaes Phillipou ($525k, Fwd) If named
Best of luck everyone with whatever you are chasing this weekend. It has been a pleasure to provide trade advice and I only hope I haven’t derailed your season too much!
Monty.
