If you are reading this article then no doubt you have made it into the finals of your league or are lucky enough to still be chasing that illustrious hat. Either way, kudos to you! Let’s have a look at who could make a difference for your side and get you the big W come seasons end.
Defence
Lachie Whitfield ($1.06m) continued to do his thing on the weekend and my semi prediction did not eventuate (yet). Apart from probably the best fantasy player in the game at the moment here are the others I like.
Geelong have a nice run coming home with Adelaide, Freo, Saints and WCE to finish the year. The likes of Tom Stewart ($887k), Max Holmes ($829k), Mitch Duncan ($759k) and even Jack Bowes ($745k) look like excellent options with Stewart still clearly the pick of the bunch, but don’t be surprised if Holmes comes home strong as well.
Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera ($865k) has come back in nice form and has Geelong and Richmond in his final 4 games which could see some ceiling scores.
Lastly Ed Richards ($781k) presents as an interesting option. Great form and locked in that midfield role. Has Melbourne, Adelaide, and North in his next 3 and could definitely be an option.
Midfield
A bit of a roller coast line this year and nailing your trade ins could be vital in the coming weeks. Jack Steele ($899k) certainly deserves a mention on form, and also plays Geelong and Richmond coming home so could be a great option. Anyone who still has not got Errol Gulden ($1.01m), well lets be honest, we all have Errol by now right?
Other than the those two, I don’t mind the look of the Crows and Bulldogs going forward. Jordan Dawson ($825k) has got himself dirt cheap for what he can do and should expose Geelong this week for a nice instant reward. Rory Laird ($904k) has also found himself back in form and if not for a corky last week, would boast a massive 3 week average.
Marcus Bontempelli ($924k) did not set the world on fire on the weekend, but I am doubling down on the Bont and I can still see him finishing the year off extremely strongly. Lastly his teammate Adam Treloar ($983k) has to be top of the tree with the Demons, Crows and North in the next 3 weeks. Yes please!
Rucks
Not much to say about the rucks except you can’t really go wrong. Rowan Marshall (1.02m) and Tristan Xerri ($991k) are the clear one and two now and should be in your team. Failing this the next tier are all fine and should be low on your priority to trade list unless your team is almost perfect.
Forwards
All year this has been the trickiest line to sort out and things really have not changed. Sam Flanders ($960k) has been amazing all year and has a juicy little run home. Dayne Zorko ($955k) is pretty much in the same boat and found his ceiling again on the weekend.
There was a lot of hype around Ben Keays ($732k) last week, but I’m still not buying it. The one going under the radar for that F5/6 position has to be Charlie Curnow ($657k) coming off back to back 100s and looking at another Coleman Medal. He was in most people’s predicted top 6 at the start of the year and has some nice games to finish off.
Dylan Moore ($819k) has proven to be one of the more reliable players up forward and has a couple of good match ups to finish the year. Otherwise there is probably no problem playing the loop game in F6 with guys like Dowling and Manage to ensure you get the best score possible.
Well that’s it for Round 21. Good luck with all those league finals and do not be afraid to check your match ups and go a little left field to try and catch them out.
