The Tuesday injury reports have been released, with key updates on Connor Rozee, Zac Williams, Jye Caldwell, James Sicily, Tom Mitchell, Tom Green, Elliot Yeo and Sean Darcy.
Connor Rozee has been listed as “1-2 weeks” in Port Adelaide’s injury report, having already been ruled out of their Round 9 clash with Geelong.
The Power injury update said: “Connor Rozee and Lachie Jones will be sidelined with low grade hamstring strains.”
Jordon Sweet also missed Port training on Monday and will miss again on Tuesday night due to illness ahead of Friday’s game.
West Coast have listed Elliot Yeo as 1-2 weeks with a groin injury. Eagles High Performance Manager Mat Inness said: “Yeoy got a low-level groin strain out of the weekend. He did run today and he ran pretty well, but he will miss this week.”
GWS confirmed Tom Green needs to pass a fitness to play this round. The Giants update said: “Green has been cleared of any serious damage to his ankle and will face a fitness test ahead of Saturday’s clash with the Bombers. Scans on Sunday revealed positive news for the GIANTS gun, who has been in impressive form.”
Zac Williams has been listed as a “test” by Carlton after a glute issue saw him subbed out against Collingwood. The Carlton update called it “glute soreness”.
Jye Caldwell has been cleared of any major injury and is in contention for Essendon to face GWS Giants this weekend.
The Dons update said: “The midfielder was subbed out during the third quarter of last Saturday’s win over the Eagles as a precaution due to calf tightness but provided he gets through training with no issues, he will line up against his former team on the weekend.”
Hawthorn revealed James Sicily should be available to play this weekend, despite a shoulder dislocation in Round 8. Hawks high performance manager Peter Burge said: “His shoulder strength is really good and he has pulled up quite well, but he did have a dislocation so it’s a complex one.
“It’s looking quite positive at the moment, but we will involve all of our medical team, James and the coaches to be a bit more solid in our progress and what we’re going to do towards this weekend. There are a few things to check off Thursday, but it’s looking pretty positive at this stage.”
Luke Jackson may remain relevant for another week with Fremantle ruckman Sean Darcy to face a test after being subbed out on the weekend with a tight calf.
Freo High Performance Manager Phil Merriman said: “Sean came off with some very low-level calf tightness and obviously off a five-day break we took a conservative approach. “He came into the Club today and is clinically quite sound. We’ll see how his week progresses with a plan for him to play.”
Collingwood ruled out both Jordan De Goey (groin) and Tom Mitchell this round, with the latter hospitalized with appendicitis. That may aid Lachie Sullivan’s job security.
The Western Bulldogs confirmed that Tom Liberatore will be unavailable for selection indefinitely for a second concussive episode.
Melbourne listed Christian Salem as 1-2 weeks away from returning from a hamstring injury, while Brisbane confirmed ACL injuries for Lincoln McCarthy and Darcy Gardiner.
