Sydney v Melbourne
Bailey Laurie is a no go, Jack Billings obviously too, having played as sub.
James Jordon started slowly tonight but really worked into it, 78% DE was a touch rough, but only had 71% TOG for an 76/81 (AF/SC).
Matt Roberts was on for a decent score at HT, 7 possessions after the first half killed that off quickly, the 91/76 (AF/SC) was very decent and had great TOG with 84% he also used most of his possessions going at 91%
Brodie Grundy started REALLY SLOOOOOWWW, 10 possies in the 3rd really kick started his scoring, only 44% DE, so left a good score out there but finished with a 118/139 (AF/SC).
Caleb Windsor showed some nice signs throughout, 45/58 (AF/SC), 81% TOG is enticing but 62% DE stalled that SC score.
Blake Howes looked unreal, 74% TOG so room for even more improvement, went at 82% and probably keeps his spot as he should, 74/91 (AF/SC) tonight and decent cash coming.
Brisbane Lions v Carlton
Zac Williams, AF/SC: 69/73 DE: 78 TOG: 80% PPM: 0.71
Clearly managed in the last as he only had 1 possession but we knew his minutes would be limited, think you just have to pick him now don’t you? Got through unscathed and probably left a SC 95+ out there with 4 turnovers.
George Hewett, AF/SC: 100/106 DE: 70% TOG: 77% PPM: 1.07
Big first half for Hewett, 6 turnovers probably cost him a 120 here, maybe a little relevance in draft?
Kiddy Coleman, AF/SC: 34/37 DE: 87% TOG: 44% PPM: 0.65
Unlucky to get injured as he was such a popular selection, but maybe down the road we can be picking him up? (He’s since been diagnosed with ACL injury)
Lachie Neale, AF/SC: 75/112 DE: 76% TOG: 79% PPM: 1.1
Left another good score out there with a poor third term, still managed to scrape 75/112, wouldn’t begrudge anyone for picking Neale as we know he’s all class! Managed minutes as we already knew, just the same old Lachie.
Josh Dunkley, AF/SC: 104/101 DE: 66% TOG: 82 % PPM: 0.95
Didn’t really use the ball that well, huge night in the tackling department with 9 but went to sleep in the 3rd and just scraped a 100.
Jarryd Lyons, AF/SC: 94/106 DE: 78% TOG: 70% PPM: 1.18A
Lyons looked very good last night besides barely any TOG, and not the best user of the ball, like Dunks he was huge with 9 tackles, could definitely be a play early with Neale on managed minutes and Ashcroft coming back midway through the year.
Gold Coast v Richmond
Alex Sexton, AF/SC: 80/73 TOG: 79% DE: 71%
Started well with 6 possessions barring the 50% DE. Had a few turnovers today hence the lower score from the possessions and ratio from Fantasy to SuperCoach.
Touk Miller, AF/SC: 110/116 TOG: 82% DE: 74%
Fantastic first half with 16 possies, slowed down after that in the 3rd. Finished with 28, underpriced.
Sam Flanders, AF/SC: 92/124 TOG: 77% DE: 65%
Started slowly with no touches early on then went bang with 11 in the first, only went at 54% though. Copped a big hit in the last and managed to finish with 26 disposals huge chance to be F1.
Bodhi Uwland, AF/SC: 26/41 TOG: 81% DE: 75%
Started very slowly, then had donuts in the second and third. Non option.
Seth Campbell, AF/SC: 61/70 TOG: 80% DE: 66%
Low possession getter, DE was a touch low, but kicked 2 sausages to boost his score, probably a non-option also.
Josh Gibcus, AF/SC: 39/77 TOG: 90% DE: 77%
As we know, low possession getter but you probably select him in SuperCoach based off his score and JS. Fantasy wise, not so sure…
Sam Naismith, AF/SC: 71/93 TOG: 76% DE: 63%
Fantastic battle with Witts at the ruck contests, not a huge possession getter but fought well, DE was fairly average though.
GWS Giants v Collingwood
Nick Daicos, AF/SC: 111/131 TOG: 80% DE: 70%
Very good early on, kicked a sausage just before HT. Was on 105+ at 3QT. Pies got absolutely thrashed he’s still knocked out a monster score, could have been even better without the 3 FAs and low DE. Absolute lock.
Charlie Dean, AF/SC: 36/55 TOG: 96% DE: 88%
Started fairly decently, not a huge possession getter but had a decent debut first up. Would be surprised if he’s dropped, not the worst selection down back. Elite TOG.
Toby McMullin, AF/SC: 47/32 TOG: 38% DE: 54%
Started as the sub but once he came on he looked lovely, came on due to Ward’s shoulder not for tactical reasoning. As quickly as he looked good in the moments he was on, he did nothing later on besides absolutely spray some kicks.
Jacob Wehr, AF/SC: 43/48 TOG: 78% DE: 72%
Barely found the pill, up until 3QT. No thank you.
Harvey Thomas, AF/SC: 18/40 TOG: 82% DE: 77%
Dead pick unfortunately, did nothing.
Aaron Cadman, AF/SC: 47/55 TOG: 77% DE: 70%
Started well and went into quarter time on 28ish, then literally did nothing until late in the 3rd with his second sausage. Not the worst pick, if you do select him you’d be hoping for a mammoth price rise in the next 2 games.
Tom Green, AF/SC: 116/132 TOG: 87% DE: 73%
Was fantastic this evening, elite first half and a sausage roll. Was on 100+ at 3QT. Continued on in the fourth and finished really well, as expected. Wouldn’t begrudge anyone starting him, such a great player and a fantastic #SuperCoach option.
Toby Greene, AF/SC: 40/63 SC: TOG: 93% DE: 80%
Quiet night for Toby, kicked a beautiful sausage in the 3rd but didn’t offer that much Fantasy or SuperCoach wise.
Lachie Whitfield, AF/SC: 137/108 TOG: 81% DE: 78%
91 SC points at 3QT, alongside 26 disposals and 10 marks, looks to have his old “premium” role back across the backline, such a shame with the early bye because he looked unreal.
