Round 19 presents us with a lot of fantastic C/VC options, all starting Friday night with the Bombers and the Dogs! With so many Genuine VC options this week, here is my list – in order – with a few dot points on why.

My line for VC this week is 120+, as I have confidence in a few captain options later in the round also.

- Scored 150+ TWICE under the roof already this year,
- Doggies don’t tag,
- Averaging 114.7 in his last 3.
Marcus Bontempelli
- Averaging 129.2 in his last 5,
- 142 last week,
- 9 out of his last 20 games he has scored 110+.
Tim English
- 140 last week,
- Lining up against Phillips and Bryan,
- 4 scores of 140+ already this year.
Captains
- Tim Taranto Back to his ton scoring ways last week with a 111, Taranto comes up against Hawthorn this week, who are leaking points to opposition mids. Last week they allowed LDU (138) and Scott (136) to do as they pleased, and it will be the same for Taranto. Maginness will go to an outside player, so he will be safe from the tag. Another great VC option if you don’t own any of the guys named above too.
- Jordan Dawson Talk about a man that just keeps getting it done. One score below 123 since round 11. A rolling average of 132.8 in his last 5 rounds. A season average of 117. As safe as they come as a captain option, with a ceiling to match, highlighted by his 172 in round 15, which happened to be against Collingwood at the MCG, where he plays this week. Safest captain option around.
- Errol Gulden Yes, this boy is my love child, but what more can you ask from him? 3 round rolling average of 126.7. 5 round rolling average of 126.6. Last round score of 126. Talk about consistency. Add in the fact he has scored 145+ 3 times this year, has scored 10 tons from his last 11 games and scored 153 on Fremantle already this year, you can captain him with 100% confidence. No longer just a VC option with ceiling, he’s a genuine weekly captaincy option.
- Nick Daicos Yes, he has the toughest matchup in terms of fantasy this week against Port Adelaide… I don’t care. He scored 117 against them in round 2. He is averaging 131.3 in his last 3. He has scored 7 tons in a row. Yes tags are back, no they don’t matter for Nick (Maginness is an exception). Do you think Willem Drew can run with this bloke? No, he can’t. The kid will step up in another big game for the pies this week, you can captain him any week he doesn’t verse Hawthorn.
- Connor Rozee Collingwood have become a friendly matchup for midfielders as the year has gone on, and Rozee is meeting them in some good form. Averaging 119.7 in his last 3, has scored 8 tons in a row, including 145 3 weeks ago. Not as confident with Rozee as I am with the others, but he does have ceiling and the right match up, so if you want to go somewhere most people wont with your captain this week, he is a viable play.
