The final round of the byes are here, which also means the number one man in the game, Tim Taranto, is not. A perfect week to gain some rankings by nailing your C with everyone having to look somewhere other than the Reliable Tigers gun.
Read below to see my top options for Round 15!
- Josh Dunkley
I’ve said it the last 2 weeks, and I’ll say it one more time for those of you who it hasn’t sunk in for yet; Josh Dunkley is back. A 3 round rolling average of 123.3 and one score below 112 in his last 7 weeks. In that same time frame, he has scores of 145 and 172 in there. Has one of the best match ups in fantasy football this week in the Saints, who allowed Taranto (147), Cotchin (119) and Dustin Martin (114) to all rack up the pill as they pleased last week. Add to this the fact Dunkley has played at Marvel twice this year for scores of 116 and 172, he can be locked in with full confidence of a huge captain score.
- Errol Gulden
Gulden sits high on my list this week, as I think he is seriously going under the radar for what he is doing. He has scored a ton 6 out of the last 7 weeks. He has scores of 153 and 161 in that timeframe as well. A 5 round rolling average of 110.2. The kid just keeps getting it done. I just mentioned the two ceiling scores he has produced this season to go along with his recent consistency, but don’t forget he also pumped out a 177 in the preseason from 45 disposals and 3 goals. He has an incredible fantasy game, and if there is ever a matchup for him to put it on show, it is against West Coast at home. This is the sort of game where Sydney will dominate possession, and on the scoreboard, which suits Errol perfectly. I will roll with the VC on Dunkley as he has the earlier game, then if he doesn’t score 120+, I will roll it into the C on Gulden. I am that confident it will be a monster score.
- Andrew Brayshaw
Another man who has shown a ceiling in the past but is now showing remarkable consistency as well. 7 tons in a row, the week before that was a 99. Not the easiest match up for midfielders, but Bray just keeps getting it done and is a safe fall back option for Saturday night after you’ve watched Dunkley or Gulden run around with your VC.
- Rowan Marshall
The big fella just gets it done week in, week out, and is playing under the roof again this week. A tough match up against the lions, but has only scored below 100 3 times this year compared to his 6 times scoring 110+, Marshall can be backed in for a triple figure score again this week in a tough round to find too many reliable options.
