The Hobart Hurricanes named a 16-man squad for Monday’s game against the Sydney Sixers at Blundstone Arena, with Chris Tremain ($70k BWL) added.
The Sixers named an 18-man squad for the game, with young wicketkeeper-batsman Lachlan Shaw (BAT/WKP) added. Shaw comes in as a replacement for Chris Jordan ($119k BWL) and is a 20-year-old Australia Under-19 international.
Steve Smith ($248k BAT) has a back injury concern ahead of Monday’s game which is now a dead rubber after the Perth Scorchers clinched top spot on Sunday.
Smith said on Saturday: “I just had some spasms (Saturday) afternoon. I struggle to get upright. I can bend (forwards) all right but getting into an extension is not ideal. It’s a bit stiff but hopefully I pull up OK.”

UPDATES
Perth Scorchers coach Adam Voges revealed that Lance Morris ($143k BWL) only missed Sunday’s game due to illness. He said: “No, Lance was meant to play tonight but he’s sick. I spoke to him this morning and he sounded terrible. His RATs were clear. If it was a final, he probably plays.”
Matt Kelly ($165k BWL) copped a ball to the head and was replaced due to concussion. Voges said: “He’s OK. He’s up and about. He got a little cut on his jaw. We used the concussion sub & I’m sure he’ll go through those protocols. Most important he’s OK.”
Andrew Tye ($175k BWL) dropped a catch which hit him in the face, forcing him of the field too. Voges said he’s got a cut on his nose but is fine.
