Daniel Sams will miss the Sydney Thunder’s game against the Perth Scorchers on Wednesday due to a groin strain with no confirmation on how significant the injury is.

The Sydney Sixers added Chris Jordan ($131k BWL) and Steve O’Keefe ($143k BWL) after being managed and having a low-level hamstring issue respectively, with Naveen-ul-Haq ($99k BWL) dropping out of their 16-man squad to face the Brisbane Heat at North Sydney Oval on Wednesday. Jordan’s departure for the ILT20 remains TBC.
Xavier Bartlett ($173k BWL) dropped out of the Heat’s 13-man squad for the game.

The Perth Scorchers named an unchanged 15-man squad to face the Sydney Thunder, who will be without Daniel Sams ($184k BAT/BWL) due to injury.
The Thunder said in an update: “Thunder’s dynamic all-rounder Dan Sams will miss the match against Perth because of a groin strain.”
Sam Whiteman ($62k BAT) and local replacement Ross Pawson ($42k BWL) come into their 14-man squad. Pawson is 28-year-old right arm fast bowler who represents Northern Districts in Sydney’s Premier Cricket competition and has been signed as a replacement for the injured Gurinder Sandhu.
