Jimmy Peirson is in some doubt for Thursday’s game against the Sydney Thunder while James Bazley has been named to return but needs to prove his fitness. Nathan Coulter-Nile also returns.

The Brisbane Heat added James Bazley ($147k BAT/BWL) to their 14-man squad for Thursday’s game with the Sydney Thunder. The Heat said: “(Bazley) will look to complete tonight’s nets and fielding training session at Metricon Stadium to prove his fitness.”
Jimmy Peirson ($102k WKP/BAT) is no certainty to play having been struck in the neck in Tuesday’s loss, but successfully completing mandatory concussion protocol on Wednesday morning.
Heat coach Wade Seccombe said Peirson would continue to be monitored and added: “Aside from being a bit sore in the spot where it hit him, he is feeling fine so that is encouraging.”
Sam Billings ($153k WKP/BAT) is in the squad as wicketkeeper cover if he is unable to play.
The Thunder named a 14-man squad with Joel Davies ($42k BAT/BWL), Blake Nikitaras ($42k BAT) and Sam Whiteman ($62k BAT) dropping out.
