Chad Warner was hyped up by Sydney coach John Longmire while there were boosts for Rowan Marshall, Noah Cumberland and Brynn Teakle as well as confirmation on Dustin Martin and Caleb Daniel.
UPDATES
Chad Warner (AF $726k SC $544k MID) looms as a POD choice following some excellent form. Sydney coach John Longmire said: “Chad’s been improving year on year, week on week. We’ve been really pleased at his application to work hard and willingness to keep on learning which he’s been terrific at.
“He certainly played well on the weekend, his last few weeks have been really solid and we like to see that maintained or improved as he continues to play out the season for us.”
St Kilda revealed Paddy Ryder (AF 501k SC $356k RUC) will be sidelined for four to six weeks with a calf injury, which may positively impact Rowan Marshall’s (AF $737k SC $460k R/F) role.
Brynn Teakle (AF $192k SC $102k R/F) could come into selection calculations this round, especially with Scott Lycett’s recovery slow. Port said in their injury report: “Teakle is also expected to be available, having joined in on full training last week following surgery on the broken collarbone he suffered in Round 14.”
Caleb Daniel (AF $717k $490k DEF) will miss more games with his knee injury, listed as 1-2 weeks away. The Dogs update said: “Caleb Daniel and Taylor Duryea remain a few weeks away from returning to availability.”
Dustin Martin (AF $592k SC $430k M/F) will miss another week with his hamstring issue, which may positively impact the role of Noah Cumberland (AF $268k SC $123k M/F). Richmond said: “Richmond will be without Tom Lynch and Dustin Martin for Friday night’s clash with Fremantle at Marvel Stadium.”
