Tim English is set to return from concussion for the Western Bulldogs while Adam Treloar has been cleared of injury. There’s some good news for Aaron Hall with his injury not as bad as expected.
UPDATES
The Western Bulldogs have confirmed the probable return of ruckman Tim English (AF $884k SC $605k F/R) from concussion, while there’s good news for Adam Treloar (AF $794k SC $490k M/F) after a hamstring scare.
Dogs coach Luke Beveridge said: “They (English and Ed Richards) should be available. Big session today for us and they’ll get through and be available for selection.
“(Tim) hasn’t been out for anywhere near as long as last time. He’s been able to train earlier. I don’t imagine we’ll have too issues with him getting going again.”
Treloar had some late hamstring awareness against Brisbane but Beveridge clarified he’d be fine to play. Beveridge said: “He should be fine. He’s pulled up all right and he’ll train today and gear up for the game.”

The Dogs didn’t offer any detail on Caleb Daniel (AF $717k SC $490k DEF) in their weekly injury report but he is listed as “2-3 weeks” with a knee issue.
Rookie Jackson Archer (AF $208k SC $117k DEF) is in the mix to be available for North this round after a hip issue ruled him out late last weekend. North Head of Performance Kevin White said: “He’ll go through a functional assessment tomorrow and we’ll allow him up until Captain’s Run to press his case.”
Aaron Hall (AF $703k SC $495k DEF) received some good news with his quad injury not as bad as first thought although he’ll miss the weekend. White said: “He had a scan on Monday morning that revealed a really low grade strain and the signs are really minimal which is pleasing, it’s his non-kicking leg which is another positive.
“He’ll go back to running tomorrow and build him up through footy function and see where he lies early next week.”
One we missed was the Brisbane Lions confirmed that Dayne Zorko (AF $637k SC $391k D/M) and Daniel Rich (AF $735k SC $538k DEF) had both only suffered “minor hamstring strains”. The club said: “Zorko and Rich are only expected to miss next Sunday’s clash with Essendon at The Gabba.”
Richmond have accepted the one-game ban offered to Nick Vlastuin (AF $738k SC $510k DEF) for striking, despite coach Damien Hardwick indicating they may challenge. He told AFL360 on Monday night: “We think we will (challenge) … it’s probably just looking at where the contact was so we’ll go through that but ideally we will probably challenge that tomorrow.”
Hardwick also revealed Dustin Martin (AF $592k SC $430k M/F) seems likely to miss another game with his hamstring strain. He said: “He’ll be out this week and probably be doubtful for week two at this stage but Dustin has had these sort of injuries before, where he’s missed a game and played the next one. He’s a strong lad obviously.”
Adelaide rookie Josh Rachele (AF $339k SC $210k M/F) will miss a few games with a hip injury. Crows High Performance Manager Darren Burgess: “We are now going to give him a period of time to allow it to recover. At this stage we expect Josh to miss the next 1-2 games but he will be assessed ongoing.”
Carlton confirmed that Sam Durdin (AF $201k SC $123k DEF) is “available for selection” again after a knee injury, although that coincides with the likely return of fellow key defender Jacob Weitering.
