Alex Witherden (AF $816k SC $593k DEF) will miss West Coast’s next game after entering health and safety protocols.
West Coast coach Adam Simpson told NewsPerth: “Jackson Nelson will be unavailable and Alex Witherden as well. That’s the world we live in at the moment. We’ll lose 2 or 3, maybe even 4 this week.”
Fremantle are bullish on the availability of ruckman Sean Darcy (AF $669k SC $568k RUCK) and rookie Neil Erasmus (AF $333k SC $166k MID) after concussions.
Dockers Executive Football GM Peter Bell said: “They’re going really well. We’re expecting that they’ll be available to play football this weekend as they work through the protocols.”
Patrick Dangerfield (AF $686k SC $483k MID) is also firmly in the mix to return after missing two games due to a calf.
Geelong head of medical and conditioning services Harry Taylor said: “Pat has completed several solid conditioning sessions and his availability will be assessed later in the week.”
There’s no return in sight for Port rookie Josh Sinn (AF $270k SC $157k D/M) will the club listing him as TBC due to a groin issue now. He had been listed as 2-3 weeks.
