Fremantle v Collingwood
No injuries to report.

Gold Coast v GWS Giants
Toby Greene (AF $676k SC $503k FWD) injured his hamstring early and sat out the rest of the game. Greene said post-game: “I just felt a little twinge when I was sprinting. Hopefully it’s only minor, we’ll wait and see.” Matt de Boer also injured his hamstring late on.

GWS coach Leon Cameron said on Greene: “I think he’ll miss a couple but time will tell. We’re not going to know for probably 24-48 hours what the extent of the damage is. He’s not going to be playing next Friday against the Bombers.”

On De Boer, Cameron added: “(It was) precautionary. If he’s not right next Friday, he’s not right.”

West Coast v Geelong
Eagles debutant Harry Edwards (AF $170k SC $123k DEF) suffered a concussion early on. West Coast coach Adam Simpson said: “Not sure how much of his first game he will remember. 8-day break, hopefully he’s ok. He’s got a bit of a shiner under his eye.” West Coast have the bye next round.

Charlie Constable (AF $565k SC $391k MID) got a heavy bump late and appeared to be concussed while the hit also drew blood. Geelong coach Chris Scott said: “It was a pretty good whack. I think he was on the way off before they even saw the blood. It was a bit more than insignificant.”

Scott also updated on Jack Steven (AF $556k SC $313k MID/FWD) who is building up his conditioning/match fitness. He said: “He’s pretty close. If it’s not this week, I’d say it’ll be next week.”

St Kilda v Sydney
Seb Ross was a late withdrawal.

North Melbourne v Adelaide
Well-owned forward Curtis Taylor (AF $399k SC $268k FWD) copped a heavy knock but returned. North coach Rhyce Shaw said: “Curtis is a tough kid… It was a fair hit. For him to come back on was really pleasing. It shows the strength of character.”

Nick Larkey (AF $369k SC $309k FWD) injured his ankle and Shaw said it would need to be assessed.

Tyson Stengle (AF $333k SC $212k FWD) hurt his finger. Crows Head of Science & Med Steve Saunders said: “Tyson dislocated the ring finger on his left hand late in the game. He is expected to be available for Wednesday’s game.”

Essendon v Brisbane Lions
No injuries to report.

Carlton v Hawthorn
No injuries to report, although Shaun Burgoyne (AF $397k SC $316k DEF/FWD*) finished the game on the bench. Hawks coach Alastair Clarkson said: “Burgoyne was a bit tight so we just didn’t want to take any risks. He’s pretty important for us.”

Melbourne v Port Adelaide
Clayton Oliver (AF $819k SC $594k MID) was reported for an elbow to the head of Port ruckman Peter Ladhams which could attract a minor ban.

Western Bulldogs v Richmond
Matthew Suckling (AF $520k SC $360k DEF) suffered a hamstring injury which coach Luke Beveridge said would need to be assessed.

Dogs medical services manager Chris Bell said: “During the first quarter in an acceleration effort, Matt suffered a hamstring injury. We’ll continue to assess Matt’s injury over the coming days, but expect him to miss the next four to six weeks.”

Cody Weightman (AF $261k SC $152k FWD) was a late withdrawal for the Dogs who said he was managed.
